He has been active as an intermediary and facilitator for in excess of $4 billion of merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions and public, private, debt and equity financings. He has made presentations and sat on discussion panels at conferences and seminars in the energy and telecommunications industries. He has taught financial theory and assisted in the design, testing and roll out of an analytical financial software package for commercial use. His financing experience includes traditional, project and lease financings in the public, private, taxable and tax-exempt markets. He has over 25 years of corporate, divisional and project transaction, valuation and financing experience. Prior to forming Middle South, Doug provided comprehensive intermediary, financial consulting and business development services. His background includes experience in financial forecasting; profitability analyses; operational process optimization; and preparation of reports and presentations to lenders, investors, the SEC and others. He has experience in virtually every corporate discipline and extensive regulatory, utility and IT / MIS experience. Mr. Dunbar has prepared numerous studies, analyses and position papers in several technical fields and is acquainted with SEC rules and regulations under the 1933, 1934 and 1935 Acts. Mr. Dunbar’s corporate experience includes 16 years with Entergy Corporation in the Corporate Finance; Global Planning and Corporate Development; and Corporate Planning & Analysis Departments. He was Corporate Treasurer of Fuelman and has served on several Boards. His industry experience includes real estate, energy, telecommunications, franchising, and entertainment . Mr. Dunbar also served as Chief Financial Officer for a publicly traded, digital imaging company and has an extensive network of clients, consultants, investors and financing entities. Mr. Dunbar has received Quality process and procedures training and is a certified Quality facilitator. Mr. Dunbar's real estate experience includes the commercial and residential markets, and he is a licensed real estate broker and Realtor^®, as required by LA law in corporate sale transactions. Middle South's real estate activities are performed by Middle South Realty. Doug is also the President of Dunbar Financial Management, Inc. formed in 1994 to assist private investors with investment analysis, valuation and implementation. After the incorporation of DFMI, he became a certified financial planner. Doug began his career as an actuarial consultant with Camus and Associates, New Orleans, LA.
