Under LA law, certain common corporate brokerage and M&A activities are considered "real estate activities". Consequently, Middle South representatives performing these activities are required to be, and are, licensed realtors with the LA Real Estate Commission, either as a real estate broker or a licensed real estate salesperson working for a broker.
When dealing with anyone conducting business sale activities, you should confirm that they are licensed realtors under LA law. To determine the licensing status of any individual with the LA Real Estate Commission, see the commission's web site at http://www.lrec.state.la.us/
